Last week the SML RFID team headed to London for Europe’s leading event for retail technology, inventory solutions and supply chain management – RetailEXPO. The two-day event aimed to provide attendees with inspiration, innovation, stimulation and thought leadership in today’s fast-moving, retail and omnichannel markets.
With five different stages and 24 headline stage speakers, the expo was a must-visit event for retail and hospitality organizations looking for the right tools, solutions and advice on how to best run their business, including retail inventory management.
RetailEXPO proved to be a valuable experience in elevating SML’s presence within the retail RFID industry whilst educating customers on the benefits of our enterprise-grade Clarity solution. Visitors were given a hands on demonstration of the retail inventory software in a retail environment, providing a fully immersive RFID customer experience kiosk.
The demonstration opened visitors’ eyes to the fact that the majority of retailers have an inaccurate view of their inventory accuracy. However, as a stand alone technology, item-level RFID in retail allows brands to gain a greater view of their inventory – up to 99%, at store level and throughout the supply chain.
Over the course of the event, the team were able to speak to numerous existing and potential customers about the benefits of RFID technology and how it is and can enhance a retailer’s daily operations through the use of item-level inventory management, loss prevention and supply chain efficiency.
Retail is transforming from product-centric to customer-centric, from efficiency to flexibility, from optimisation to inspiration. SML made sure that these challenges and opportunities were brought into focus in our pragmatic revolution.
